This huge 40 feet mansion with a stage for performances is the centrepiece of 1 Utama's Middle Eastern-themed Hari Raya decorations.Imagine listening to live Arabic music being performed on the veranda of an Arabic mansion amist palm tree and sand on the ground in the middle of a shopping mall.
Beautiful Middle Eastern themed balcony at the upper floor. The veranda of the mansion was designed to stage performances like belly dancing, tradional Middle Eastern folk dances and live bands, playing authentic Arabic Hari Raya melodies.
This Hari Raya, visitors at the 1 Utama shopping centre in 1 Utama in PJ will be able to journey through ancient Arabia as they browse festive goods at tents decorated in blue and green organza.
There are carpets for sale at the side balconies of the stucture. There are also carpets at the front of the veranda where visitors can sit and enjoy the performances. The centrepiece of the Oasis Adilfitri theme is a mansion that was crafted with meticuluos motifs that exude Arabic, Moroccan and Turkish influences.
Real palm trees, sand and pebbles added authencity to the desert setup. Real palms and sands add to the ambience as shoppers enjoy the products on display.

Tens of thousands of colourful blooms added colour to the ground floor of Sunway Pyramid turning it into an attractive garden. This display set up in conjunction with the Malaysia Floral Fest 2008, was dubbed the Malaysia Garden of Eve. Its concept revolves around the theme of Harmony in Bloom and it uses cultural musical instruments as the focal depiction to potray the harmony of Malaysia's multi-cultural population.

Among the insruments showcased were the Rebana Ubi, Er Hu and the Sitar, along with various musical notes. The 25,000 stalks of local flora used in arranging the garden included chrysanthemum, orchid, lily, rose, hydrangeas and even vegetables.

The mooncake festival celebrates the birthday of the moon and it also known as the Mid-Autumm festival. The Chinese calendar is based on the lunar cycle and the festival is held on 8/15 of the lunar calendar on a full moon night. This year it falls on Sept 14 which is today. The moon is important to the Chinese and determines many of the festival dates. On the Autumm Moon Festival, the moon is round and family unite. Families get together to eat a special dinner which includes the mooncakes. Mooncakes go well with a cup of Chinese tea. The below pictures show a variety of Chinese tea and a Chinese teapot. There are many choices of moooncakes on sales which have also attractive and colourful design, boxes and packaging. Mooncakes are round like the moon and the shape is a symbol for togetherness and harmony. The cakes are made of pastry and have sweet fillings. The flavours are red bean paste, lotus seed paste, coconut, black sesame, green tea, pandan, durian and etc. Some have egg yolks in the centre.

The modern trend now for the fillings include white coffee, chocolate, tiramisu and fruits. Maybe these new recipes are designed to tempt the younger generation. The sweetness of the cakes represents good fortune or good harvest. Special designs are embossed on top of each cakes. Some of these design are of a traditional Chinese characters representing the old legends of the mooncakes, while othr are embossed with the logo of the shop and hotel that makes them.

The full moon gets a special recognition on the 15th day of the eight lunar month in the Chinese calender. The Mid Autumm Festival falls on Sept 14 this year. The celebration is also known as the Monncake Festival or Tanglung (lantern) festival. It is a traditional festival that is cherished by the Chinese community. Stalls selling mooncakes.

It is widely believed that the custom of eating mooncakes begun during the Yuan Dynasty when the pastry was used to spread the message of a planned revolt against the Mongolian rulers.

Restaurant in Port Dickson. This will be the word when you are going to Port Dickson for a holiday. There are not many good restaurant in Port Dickson once you are there for holiday. I would recommend you to check out Weng Yin Seafood Village which is on the 9 1/4 miles along the main road (Jalan Pantai). Lookout for this signboard. Is easy to find since is located along the main road. Is a Muslim seafood.

Outdoor seating for those who prefer cooler environment.

The restaurant is packed with customers.

This fish cost us Rm 26. While vegetables is about Rm 6. Overall the food here is quite ok, I wouldn't say is excellent.

There is not much difference beween the superior and deluxe rooms but the prime rooms- the Straits Studio rooms-come with a view of the Straits of Malacca. All of the rooms are furnished with digital TV sets, fixed to the wall to avoid cluttering the floor.

Matta Fair 2008- Avilion Admiral Cove Port Dickson is my top choice. Is worth the money and also they are newly-opened. Matta Fair offers Rm 185 nett (Superior) and Rm 205 nett (Deluxe) for weekend stay. Hurry to PWTC now and you won't regret.

The good thing about this place is that one does not see the dirty side of the sea even during low tide. Guests at the Avilion Admiral Cove will enjoy the soathing view of the boats docked at the marina. The marina is quite deep and the water is quite clear, in fact, one can see a variety of fish and even spot the occasional seahorse from the pontoon.

There are some bungalow lands for sale too. You will noticed that there are some completed bungalows here which is occupied. How I wish I can be one of the owner too!

Clean bathroom eventhough I must said the shower place is a bit small. This is the only complaint I have.

Restoran May "N" Mike's specialise in authentic Malayalee food. I managed to chit chat with one of the owner which is Ms. May Miranda from Klang. She is very friendly and mentioned to me that the restaurant is about 8 years old now and have many regulars customers. They do provide home and outdoor catering as well. Simple but spacious and clean ambience.

Nice decoration

I ordered 1 fish and 1 vege and the bill come to Rm 6.80. The vege and the fish is very fresh. The best part is there even I reached there about 3.00p.m but the fish is still hot therefore is nice to eat. The curry was good too and not that spicy. I think this is one of the best place for home cooked food.

One of the best place to have steamed fish head is at this place. Restoran Hon Ki served bah kut teh in the morning but at night another operator (Hua Wang Steamed Fish Head) will take over this place from 5.00p.m-11.00p.m. selling steamed fish head.
They don't have a signboard yet but they do hang around this banner next to the Restoran Hon Ki signboard.

The business is very good here and sometime you have to wait for 3o minutes. Some of the dishes you can order is steamed fish head, Bean paste steamed fish head, ginger steamed fish head, asam steamed fish head, oyster sauce HK choy sum, oyster sauce Australia lettuce, oyster sauce bean shoot, tau fu with shalot oil, oyster sauce HK brocolli, oyster sauce lettuce, oyster sauce HK kailan, bean sprout & salted fish and oyster sauce HK butter plant.

Spacious seating in a open area.

Is situated at a corner lot of a single terrace house. I will give the full details at the end of this blog for direction.

We ordered 3 dishes which is Steamed fish head, Oyster sauce Australia lettuce and Tau fu with shalot oil.

Steam fish head. The fish is very fresh and soft here and make sure mix the gravy to your rice. The fish price at Rm 22 which is very cheap. Unless any readers can share with me that they have other places cheaper than this. Please share with me in my comment.

Tau fu with shalot oil. It only cost Rm 5. Has a soft texture.

Oyster sauce Australia lettuce which cost us Rm 5. The lettuce here is tasty and fresh.
