New Proton Saga fuel consumption figures are 6.0 litres for 100 km for the manual and 6.3 litres for the auto rated consistent running speed of 90kmh.
Proton's own 1.3I Campro twin-cam engine with a new intake Air-Fueled Model powers the entire range.

There is no shortage of cubby holes and storage compartments especially drink holders. The two cup holders at the front and one at the rear, along with two rear bottle holders means everyone get a shot. Two speaker , single-disc Clarion CD receiver audio system (the M-line gets an additional two front speakers). An alarm system is standard issue of B and M variants, but there is none in E-Line.

The new Proton Saga line-up begins at Rm 31,500 for E-Line (manual only). The middle-ground B-Line manual is priced at Rm 34,998 while the autos go for Rm 37,998. The M-Lines manual and auto versions go for Rm 37,498 and Rm 39,998 respectively (all prices are on the road with insurance). Seven colours are available which is Solid white, Metalic Black, Granite Gray, Genetic Silver. Chili Red, Mountain Blue and Zircon Green. The E-Line variant is avalable only in Solid White. The new Proton Saga is the first proton model to offer a manufacture warranty for three years or 100,000 km, plus a two-year extended warranty package.




The entry and base line models comes shod in 13-inch steel wheels and 175/70 tyres R13 tyres, while the medium line version get alloys wheels and 185/60 R14 rubbers. The car sits on front Macpherson struts.

The new Proton Saga is a new model launched on 18th Jan 2007 by Malaysia's Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. Proton is a Malaysia national car.
