Yut Kee Restaurant
Restaurant Yut Kee served great food at affordable price. I once met Tan Sri Yeoh Tiong Lay from YTL Corporation Berhad enjoying his' meal here in this restaurant. The Yut Kee coffee shop is well-known for its Hainanese dishes and continental breakfast. Finding this eatery won't be a problem because it is located at a corner lot of the junction of Jalan Kamunting. Yut Kee coffee shop located at the end of Jalan Dang Wangi. It was known as Campbell road in the late 70s and was one of the busiet sections in Kuala Lumpur's city centre.
The ambience here remind us of our grand parent time where they would have come here to enjoy a meal in a typical kopitiam setting
The restaurant is always crowded.Getting a place to sit is a matter of strategising your breakfast and lunch break. Regulars who eat here prefer to book their seating early to avoid the lunch crowd. Best time to go is between 11.30a.m-12.00p.m for lunch hour. After 12.00p.m is going to be hard for you to get a table unless you don't mind to share table with strangers. The old timers who spend their time catching up with friends and family members here called this shop 'Jack's Place'. It is famous for Hainanese fares such as the chicken and pork chops, fried noodles, beef soup noodles and their locally brewed black coffee. What's interesting here is the cake rolls that you can purchase for your afternoon tea sessions. The snacks and food items at Yut Kee are reasonably priced and thus is why many city dwellers who have relocated to other parts of the Klang Valley still visit the coffee shop.
